How Does Laser Light Heal?

Lasers supply energy to the body in the form of photons of light. Light is transmitted through the skins layers at all wavelengths in the visible range, however, light waves in the near infrared ranges penetrate the deepest of all light waves in the visible spectrum. When laser light waves penetrate deeply into the skin, they OPTIMIZE the immune responses of our cells. This has both anti-inflammatory and immunustimulative effects. It is a scientific fact that light transmitted in this way has positive effects throughout the whole body, supplying vital oxygen and energy to every cell and tissue.

What Should I Expect During Treatment?

For most patients, Laser Therapy is quite passive. The most noticable sensation is the touch of the probe head of the laser, as it comes in contact with the skin. You will also commonly feel heat which will be gentle and warm. As our laser is a Class IV Laser it is deeper and more effective than traditional cold lasers.
